Who we are

What we collect
- Enquiries: when you use the enquiry form we collect what you type in — your name, company (if given), email address, phone number, how you would like us to reply, details of any device and a description of what you need.
- Reservation requests: the same contact details, the item and quantity you asked for, and any note you add.
- Careers enquiries: your name, email address, phone number (if given), area of interest and what you tell us about yourself.
- Security information: when a form is sent we record your internet (IP) address and browser type, so we can stop spam and misuse.
- Customers: if you become a customer, we keep your contact and address details, and records of quotes, invoices and payments.
- Devices: if you bring a device to us, we may record details about it and the fault in order to carry out the work.
Why we use it
We use these details to reply to your enquiry or request, to carry out work you have asked for, to keep records of that work and of payments, and to keep this website secure. We rely on your consent to reply to you (which you give when you tick the box on a form), on the contract between us when we carry out work or sell you an item, and on our legitimate interest in running and protecting our business. We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.
Emails
When you send a form, we email ourselves a copy and send you an acknowledgement. These emails are sent through our own email account.
How long we keep it
Enquiry correspondence is kept for as long as it is needed to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up, and for business record-keeping afterwards. Records relating to completed work, invoices and payments are kept in line with normal accounting and legal requirements.
Data on devices you leave with us
Repair and recovery work can involve access to data stored on your device. We access only what is necessary to diagnose or complete the work you have asked for. Please back up anything you can before leaving a device with us.
Sharing
We may share details with suppliers or specialist partners where that is necessary to complete work you have asked for, with our website and email hosting provider (which stores the website and its data for us), and with professional advisers or authorities where we are required to.
Maps
Our map is provided by Google Maps and only loads if you press “Show the map”. At that point your browser contacts Google, which may receive your IP address and set its own cookies. See our cookie policy.
Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted where we are not required to keep it. Contact us using the details below. If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
